Government anticipates 13th INSS salary

According to the decree signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), the payment of the bonus, typically made in the second half of the year, will be issued in two installments in April and May. This advance payment of the annual bonus, known as the "13th salary of the INSS," is a significant step and will be directed toward INSS beneficiaries.

The eligibility for the bonus includes people who, in 2024, received temporary incapacity benefits, accident benefits, retirement pensions, survivors' pensions, or incarceration benefits from Social Security. This advance aims to stimulate the economy, following the example of previous years in which the bonus was paid in May and June, specifically in 2022 and 2023.
