We are approaching one of the most eagerly awaited dates for consumers and retailers: Consumer Day. This year, Consumer Week takes place from March 11th to March 15th, with the dedicated day to celebrate and reward consumers being on the 15th.

With the advent of this date, retailers prepare for a flood of tempting promotions and offers, seeking to attract the attention and wallets of consumers eager for great deals. According to a study conducted by PicPay, over 60% of Brazilians are considering making purchases on this date, demonstrating the relevance and impact that Consumer Day has in our country.

The study also reveals that about 79.5% of the respondents are already researching product prices in advance, comparing values, and looking for the best buying opportunities. And how much are they willing to spend? Most plan to spend between R$ 1,000 and R$ 2,000, showing that consumers are willing to invest in products that meet their needs and desires.

What exactly are consumers looking for on this date? Clothing and appliances lead the list of most sought-after products, followed by a variety of items ranging from electronics to beauty and personal care products.

However, more than just looking for good prices, consumers are increasingly concerned about the quality of the products they are purchasing. According to the study, 40.9% of people consider quality the most important factor when deciding on a purchase, followed by low price (29.2%) and the reliability of the store or sales platform (22%).

Those who do not intend to shop during this period generally justify their choice due to financial conditions, preferring to wait for a more opportune moment or simply not being interested in the products on offer.

In short, Consumer Day is more than just a simple date on the calendar. It's a time of opportunities for consumers to find quality products at affordable prices, while retailers aim to attract and retain customers through attractive promotions.
